Me ::

I am an interactive artist and designer, currently getting my masters in professional studies from the Interactive Telecommunications Program at NYU (ITP). I am originally from Russia, but have lived in the Northeast of the US most of my life. My work is inspired by the cultural clashes in my life, and the interesting challenges and situations that they render in language and communication. It is also inspired by the purely visual, line, and color, both of the built environment and the human face and body.

  I have been working on a "vibrant" Android Application for a research project funded by Intel, surrounding the issue of vibrancy in technology. The application allows mobile phones to communicate with other mobile phones in their proximity.

  My ongoing eye tracking attire project is an exploration into the language of the eyes, the way we use them to communicate, and what we can do with this powerful form of communication.

  The Googler was one of my first code projects and I am continuing to iterate it. The Googler brings google further into our conversations by monitoring spoken conversations via speech recognition software and representing it ambiently, as it is interpreted through google image search.
