One night, after interviewing 12 people after 12 am about their life in Bennington, I had a realization that had I not done such a project I would have never known that several hundred people in this small town sleep by day and work by night in several of the major factories in the town. I became fascinated with the idea that in such a small town there exist countless independent realities that hold their own schedules, acquaintances, and news. I began a project in wich I would specifically research Bennington's industrial history.
I interviewed many people while doing this research and I became more even more interested in the that my biasas were playing out within the information I was collecting. By chosing my subjects, the people I spoke with, my questions, and my perceptions I was affecting a history. This map is my attempt to break down everytbing that I found into several categories and then furthermore by more intuitive and subjective judging.
The key explains how size of icon demonstrates how I felt about the significance of a place or a person to my overall image of this particular history.
